This course will provide that insight. This diploma aims to equip you with a sound understanding of structures and systems of a human body as the Diploma in Anatomy and Physiology is the foundation upon which all other Complementary, Beauty and Sports Therapy awards are based. Upon successful completion of the course, students will have a comprehensive knowledge of diseases and disorders of the human body so that they are aware of when to and when not to treat a client, and only operate within certain parameters.

An anatomy and physiology curriculum can include the study of basic sciences, biology, chemistry, kinesiology and nutrition. Students who study anatomy and physiology for an associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree have a wide range of career options upon graduation.

It is a theoretical course which broadly covers topics of Structure and function of the body, Integration of Systems, Skeletal System, Muscular System, Digestion (includes Metabolism & Nutrition), Urinary System and much more.

Career Opportunity : An academic background in anatomy and physiology can prepare one for several career options. These include medical careers, such as nursing, as well as related fields, such as massage therapy and athletic training. An associate’s degree is the minimum education for these careers, though further education and certification may be required.
